A day in the life…

The pan that started it all.

It began with a gift…

In December of 2018 artist blacksmith Dennis Kehoe made his wife Kasey a carbon steel pan as a Christmas gift. After using the pan for a couple of weeks and loving how it performed and how it looked, Dennis decided to build a few more. After quickly selling the first small batch Dennis and Kasey decided to launch the new business. They already owned and operated a custom metalworking business specializing in hand forged architectural ironwork and sculptural pieces. It didn’t take long for the two to design their line of skillets, build the tooling and go into production. Kehoe Carbon Cookware was born!

Dennis began his journey in metalwork in 2001 by taking a bronze casting class at a local community college. After studying the casting process and producing bronze sculptures for several years Dennis began to seek a more direct way to work with metals. In 2008 he was introduced to blacksmithing. It only took a few swings of the hammer and he was hooked. Blacksmithing opened the door for Dennis to merge his love of art and design with functional projects.

Kasey’s background mainly lies in construction, she has worked in structural steel and as a UA pipe fitter. Her passion for metal all started when she asked her father to show her how to use his welding machine. That one experience shaped her future forever.

The two met in 2001 during those early days of their mutual journey in metalwork. Along the way they have worked together and on their own bringing over 30 years of combined experience in the trade.
